1. Mm Bwab Bwab
2. Back Door
3. Not For Sale
4. Do The Matthew Gidman (Live)
Missing Leg Compartment is a band that mixes classic rock with progressive metal and isn’t scared to try out new things. Hinting to other genres they were able to create a distinctive style that they can call their own. ‘Back Door’ & ‘Not For Sale’ are songs with great potential and with the right guidance and recording, mixing & producing in a decent studio this musical group could be able to make a very decent CD. They’re not their yet, but with their will to improve it can’t take too long until they hit the spot and amaze you with a killer album. Keep an eye and definitely an ear out for MLC!!
Mm Bwab Bwab
At first I wasn’t too impressed with Mm Bwab Bwab. But after a few more listens I got to appreciate this song more and more. They lyrics, that appeared kind of weird and not too deep at first got more meaning for me and I noticed they actually were deeper than I thought. The vocals are the weakest part of the song, even though they’re pretty much okay. The song has a fairly strong basis of solid instrumentals though. So maybe with a few minor adjustments and good mixing/producing this song could grow out to be even better.
This is a really solid song. The vocals were solid. Better than the Mm Bwab Bwab song. Heavier riffs that hint to (progressive) metal and melodic/progressive influences from Classic Rock are a welcome intermezzo in this song. If this song were properly mixed/produced, this would have plenty of potential.
Not For Sale
Kick ass song. Musically, probably the best song out of the 4 on myspace. Especially the drums stuck out to me. Very nice. Those tied up the song as a whole. Best vocals out of the 4 songs too. Sounds like an excellent live song too. Great addition to the genre.
Do The Matthew Gidman (Live)
The live recording is from an okay quality but not good enough to give a fair review. As far as I can judge it sounds like MLC has a good live reputation and knows how to interact with an enthusiast audience. So apparently they’re able to put up a good live show which is one of the things that make up a great band. So this sounds promising.
